Meet Maureen Wheeler, known for transforming schools,
prepares Arlington for strong academic rigor as Principal!

Dear Arlington Family,

We are delighted to share the exciting news of Ms. Maureen Wheeler's appointment as the new Principal at Arlington Christian School. With her extensive experience in both elementary and secondary education, Ms. Wheeler brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our institution. Her commitment to academic rigor, student support, and a well-rounded education makes her an exceptional addition to our leadership team.

Ms. Wheeler's educational background is truly impressive. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the prestigious University of Dayton. Additionally, she has obtained two Master's degrees from Georgia State University, specializing in Special Education and Educational Leadership. Her dedication to professional growth led her to earn an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University.

Having begun her teaching career at Harriet Tubman Elementary School in College Park, Ms. Wheeler quickly progressed to the role of Assistant Principal at Paul D. West Middle School. Her outstanding leadership skills then led her to become the Principal at Palmetto Elementary School, followed by Renaissance Middle School here in Fairburn. For the past ten years, Ms. Wheeler served as the Principal at Hope-Hill Elementary School in Atlanta Public Schools, where she transformed the school from one of the district's lowest performers to a recognized "Beating the Odds School" by the State of Georgia. Her expertise in curriculum and instruction, along with her unwavering commitment to students and teachers, has made a remarkable impact on the school community.

After a successful thirty-year career in public education, Ms. Wheeler has chosen to continue her journey with us at Arlington Christian School. We are thrilled to have her join our community and are confident that her leadership will inspire academic excellence and personal growth among our students.

Ms. Wheeler's arrival signifies a renewed focus on academic rigor, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality education. With her guidance, we will further enhance our curriculum, foster critical thinking skills, and provide opportunities for intellectual growth.

In addition to academic excellence, Ms. Wheeler recognizes the importance of holistic student development. She places great emphasis on student well-being and has an abiding commitment to supporting students through their social and emotional challenges. With her leadership, we will strengthen our counseling services to ensure that every student receives the necessary support and guidance.

Furthermore, we are excited to share that Ms. Wheeler brings with her a deep appreciation for the spiritual growth of our students. She understands the significance of a Bible curriculum in shaping their character and moral compass. Under her direction, we will continue to integrate biblical teachings into our academic program, nurturing our students' faith and values.
Finally, Ms. Wheeler's dedication to enrichments and extracurricular activities will enhance the overall educational experience for our students. She firmly believes in the power of arts, sports, and other engaging activities to foster creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. We are committed to providing a well-rounded education that nurtures the talents and passions of our students, and Ms. Wheeler will play a crucial role in expanding our enrichment programs.

We invite you to join us in extending a warm welcome to Ms. Maureen Wheeler as our new Head of School. We are eager for you to personally meet her and learn more about her vision for Arlington Christian School. Together, we will create an educational environment that challenges and inspires our students to reach their full potential.
Sincerely,
The Board of Trustees at Arlington Christian School
