In-Class and Online Learning
Arlington uses the Bob Jones University (BJU) curriculum. The academic rigor at ACS keeps our scholars alert and on their toes to the extent that they are competitive with counterparts in other school systems and they are ready to face the world in a manner that is intellectually responsible. As such, the BJU curriculum equips our scholars quite well in the areas of ELA, Enrichment, Math, Science, Foreign Language and Physical Education. For more insight on the curriculum, visit www.bjupress.com.
Edgenuity, IXL, and additional online enrichment sources will be used as needed to accompany the BJU curriculum. Additionally, we are also pleased to offer ACT preparation for high school scholars.

About BJU Curriculum
In Christian education, the Bible is discussed in Bible class and chapel—but how does it apply to other academic subjects? We shape each subject according to the lens of scripture. Each discipline takes on new meaning when we apply the themes of Creation, Fall, and Redemption.

Our educational materials are not just biblically faithful—they are also academically sound. Our materials use hands-on-learning, creative problem solving, and other research-proven instructional strategies to motivate scholars to take an active role in learning and to master age-appropriate material.

A complete education goes beyond facts and processes, so our textbooks direct scholars to think for themselves. They are encouraged to use discernment and to consider their worldview in everyday situations. Our textbooks help scholars to develop skills in critical thinking with inductive teaching, hands-on-learning, and probing questions.

Teachers are looking for innovative ways to engage scholars in learning. At BJU Press, we offer technology enhancements for teachers and scholars to use daily in their classrooms and on the go.
