Welcome to Arlington Christian School!
"Helping children grow, as Jesus did, in wisdom and stature, in favor with God and man." Est. 1959.
We did it! We successfully reopened our campus on August 17th.
As we continue to adjust to the new normal,
the learning experience at ACS will only get better!
Dear Arlington Families,
In the words of Dr. Anthony Fauci, American physician, immunologist, and White House Coronavirus Task Force member, “Reopening schools is not a one size fits all for each school.” We have embarked on a new school year at Arlington Christian School girded with wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit. Under the authority of God and the expertise of government and health officials, we successfully began the 2020-2021 school year on August 17, 2020. We have adopted as this year's theme, "The Triple A Effect: Actualizing the new-normal, Accelerating scholars' educational experience, Advancing the kingdom," and we are excited to be doing just that. We know that this year will be exceptional in the most positive of ways.
As always, thank you for your support and prayers. We are in this TOGETHER! Please download and read our COVID-19 School Implementation plan here. For COVID-19 emotional support click here. Please check back often for updates.

Blended Learning Schedule
Based on the results of the Learning Style of Choice Survey, the greatest preference (42%) was for Blended Instruction, which is on campus Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and homebased learning (“Digital Days”) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is applicable for scholars in all grades.
“Digital Days” will be implemented this school year in order to best accommodate all of the learning styles, as well as allow teachers to balance the face-to-face scholars and the online scholars. For example:
Monday – Introduce Lesson; Hands on Learning
Tuesday – Online Practice/Reinforcement; Online Interactive Activities
Wednesday – Revisit/Expound on the Lesson; Formative Assessment Assignments (Quizzes; Discussions; Interactive Games, etc.)
Thursday - Online Practice/Reinforcement; Online Interactive Activities
Friday – Summative Assessment Assignments (Final Tests; Projects; Papers, etc.)
Edgenuity, IXL, and additional online enrichment sources will be used as needed to accompany the BJU curriculum.
All scholars will receive an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) at the beginning of the school year.
Technology – 3rd through 12th graders will be assigned individual computers.
Books – Parents are purchasing books this year through our curriculum provider, Bob Jones University at www.bjupress.com. (Correspondence with ordering instructions was emailed to parents.)
