Why Beta?

The Beta Club  recognizes outstanding sophomores and freshman at Arlington who have demonstrated the traits of scholarship, leadership, character, and service.

Selection of Members

Students following a college preparatory program who have completed at least one semester at Arlington and have a cumulative average of 3.0 or higher.  In addition to meeting this scholarship requirement, students applying for Beta recognition will be required to compose essays on each of the three remaining characteristics.  These essays will be evaluated by a faculty committee, which will finalize membership.

Maintenance of Membership

Continued membership in the society is contingent on maintaining the 3.0 cumulative average and remaining in good standing with the school.  Any member placed on behavioral probation will automatically be dismissed from membership in the Beta Club.
