Visual Arts

In preschool through 5th grade, each teacher includes art as part of regular classroom instruction. Students in middle/high school, 6th-12th grade, have a dedicated art room and a visual arts teacher, who is a noted local artist. Students learn drawing techniques, composition and other art methods.

Alex Gipson, a freshman at Arlington Christian School, placed first in the High School Division of the Holocaust Commission’s statewide art contest. Alex was honored May 2 at the State Capitol, and her work will be on display for a year at the “Anne Frank in the World” Exhibit. Kim Brown (left), Operations and Exhibition Manager, is shown with Alex and her commemorative work, “Never Again.”
