Philosophy History In the fall of
1959, the doors of the Arlington Schools opened as a private independent school
serving students in Southwest Atlanta. In 1968, Greater Atlanta Christian School
was established by members of the churches of Christ in Atlanta to offer quality
Christian education on the north side of Atlanta. From 1987 to 1994, GACS and
Arlington combined their strengths to form Greater Atlanta Christian at
Arlington. For the continued strengthening of the school's program came a need
for greater local control and direction. As a result, in the summer of 1994,
Arlington Christian School was formed as an independent operation continuing the
challenge of "Quality Education in a Christian Environment."
Purpose & Philosophy
Continuing in its heritage, Arlington Christian School trains young people both
in godly principles and in academic competencies. The goal of the school's
administration, faculty, and staff is to guide each student toward maturity in
five areas: physical, academic, social, emotional, and spiritual. We believe
that an education that does not emphasize all of these areas is inherently
incomplete. 1999 Davis iNET Consulting. All Rights Reserved. |
