Virtual Classroom for Parents

Arlington Christian School has implemented a new tool, the Arlington Virtual Classroom, that will assist parents in taking part in the activities, planning and happenings at the school. The Arlington Virtual Classroom is a web-based tool that will allow us to host classes for our Arlington parents," states Campus Minister, Mr. Chris King. "We recognize that our parents are extremely busy and finding a night of the week to meet is almost impossible, so, we have designed a classroom format that will allow you to participate, via the Internet, at your convenience," he added.

All ACS parents should have received a letter explaining the technology and how to access the classroom over the Internet from the home or office. The service is free for everyone. The Virtual Classroom provides a conferencing feature and discussion areas for interaction.

"The vision for Arlington Virtual Classroom is that a community of parents will be able to participate, on a regular basis, in discussing strategies and ideas in the area of spiritual formation as it relates to your children," said King. "We recognize how important it is for Arlington Christian School to do a great job in helping your child to develop academically and spiritually. We take that responsibility seriously! That is why we believe it is vital for our school and our families to continue making meaningful connections that serve as a catalyst in the development of your child. Arlington Virtual Classroom can be one of many connectors that function as a resource to our Arlington families."

The first class offered is entitled “Parents In Ministry Together," and will will focus primarily on strategies and ideas in the area of spiritual formation at home.

"I hope you will consider being a part of the Arlington Virtual Classroom," stated Mr. King. "We have wonderful students with wonderful parents. This is one way we, as a community, will be able to communicate better, as well as share in the challenges in making our children spiritual champions."
