Extended Learning
A program of
after-school learning is offered to ACS students enrolled in
kindergarten through sixth grade. This enables many working parents to
leave their children at school longer than regular school hours.
Students in the ACS Extended Learning Program receive instructional
experiences in the areas of Art, Reading, Math, Music Appreciation,
Computer and Drama.
Students are supervised by ACS certified teachers in an atmosphere
conducive to learning.
The charge for this program is $5.00 per hour or
any part of an hour.
There is supervised learning until 6 p.m.
If you are seeking
a more extensive after-school day care, we utilize a program held at Cliftondale
Community Center located about three miles from the school on Butner Road. Arlington will provide bus transportation after
school to this facility for a nominal fee.
For older students who cannot be picked up immediately after school,
an upper school study hall is provided for $5.00 per hour. This study
hall is designed to provide supervision to insure the child's safety.
