New Testament Survey |
|
The teacher provides an overview
of the 27 books of the N.T. Each student will become familiar with
the author, date, main characters, primary events, and key themes
of each N.T. book. |

8th |
Genesis and the Law |
|
The teacher provides a
thorough analysis of Genesis and Exodus combined with a survey of
the Wilderness Wandering Period (Leviticus, Numbers, &
Deuteronomy). |

9th |
Life of Christ |
|
The teacher provides students
information about the Greatest Man of all of history found in
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Each student will walk with Christ
from His pre-birth prophecies in the Old Testament through His
death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. |

The teacher will
examine the book of Proverbs from both a topical and contextual
perspective with emphasis on practical living. (In the second
cycle beginning August 2005 this class will be combined with
Psalms). |

The teacher will give
an overview of these three epistles and concentrate on holy living
in the context of a morally bankrupt world filled with
persecution. |

The teacher will help the student
defend his belief in Creation, the Bible, Jesus, and the
resurrection. |

What the Bible Says... |
The teacher will examine a plethora of
interesting Bible topics including abortion, homosexuality,
premarital sex, alcohol, capital punishment, etc. |

Joshua, Judges, Ruth and Psalms |
Acts |
|
|
The teacher will survey the period of
the conquest and occupation of the Promised Land. Special emphasis
will be given to the geography, characters, and themes of this
era.
The teacher will examine the book of
Psalms from both a topical and contextual perspective with
emphasis on worshipful living. (This class will be combined with
Proverbs August 2005). |
The teacher will provide an in depth
examination of the book of Acts with special focus on the early
history of the church. Focus will also be placed on the various
locations where churches were established who received subsequent
N.T. letters (i.e. Ephesus, Corinth, etc). |

The teacher will treat this curriculum
as a Bible tools course. There will be many angles of
concentration including: How to use concordances, dictionaries,
etc. Keys to properly interpreting biblical texts. |

Major and Minor Prophets Survey |
Epistles |
| |
The teacher will give an overview of
the major prophets with special emphasis on Daniel (1st semester
course). The teacher will give an overview of the Minor Prophets
with special emphasis on selected prophets, e.g. Jonah (2nd
semester course). |
The teacher will give an overview of
N.T. epistles with special emphasis on their unique doctrines and
practical advice. (1st semester: I&II Cor., Gal., & I &II Thess;
2nd semester: prison epistles). |
