Michael was born on July 14, 1991 and passed away on Friday, February 12, 2010. Michael was a resident of Palmetto, Georgia at the time of his passing. He was a 2009 graduate of Arlington Christian School and was employed at Publix in Tyrone. Michael is survived by his parents, David and Nan McGuffey; sister, Kristen, all of Palmetto; grandparents, Harold and Nancy Huffmaster of Palmetto; Gene and Gwen McGuffey of Murrayville, GA; several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

Services were held Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11 o'clock at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Dr. David Hammonds and Rev. Ron Edwards officiating. Interment followed at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Palmetto. The family received friends Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory in Fairburn.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Arlington Christian School Football Program, 4500 Ridge Road, Fairburn, GA 30213.

The whole Arlington Family is grieving and praying to God for comfort and love to surround the McGuffey Family. Michael was a year-round athlete at Arlington. He was a member of the 2007 Inaugural Football Team and the 2009 State Champion Basketball Team.

Michael died in an auto accident the afternoon of February 12, 2010.
