Hosts Homecoming 2008
Hundreds of Arlington
alumni and families gathered January 26 for Homecoming 2008.
Sponsored by the
Student Government Association and centered on a “Phantom of the Opera”
theme, the gymnasium was transformed with a grand staircase and
candelabra.
Seniors Emily
Ouellette and Ryan Ware were crowned Homecoming Queen and King. Other
senior members of the court were Sarah Epps, Evan Karanovich, Rachel
Hunt and Jared Redding. Juniors Ashley Arrington and Marissa Stewart
were escorted by Corban Edwards and Robert Dommsch. Sophomores Lucy
Tucker and Sharayah Drake were escorted by Dale Avery and Wole Ogundele.

Homecoming 2008 at Arlington
Christian School was held Jan. 26. Seniors on the court included Sarah

Members of the court from the
Freshman Class were Emily Johnson, Mak Fletcher, Charod Strickland and Conner
Edwards. Following the coronation ceremony, the court was honored with a
reception.
Cheerleaders planned Spirit Week which
included a pep rally to introduce the court. The varsity and junior
varsity squads are sponsored by Sandy Gamble.
Varsity basketball teams both posted wins
against Furtah Preparatory School. Coached by Lady Grooms, the ACS
varsity girls won 70-50. Meghan Downes led the Lady Eagles with 21
points. Jessica Welch and Mak Fletcher both scored 14.
The boys won 69-58 behind sophomore Adam
McLeod with 25, Patrick Prince 15 and Anteh Ayree, 12.
