ACADEMICS

Kindergarten & Elementary

This is an exciting time to be an elementary student at Arlington Christian School. High expectations set the standard for each child to maximize his or her potential. The elementary curriculum includes the basic academic courses, as well as daily Bible classes. Specialists teach music, physical education, art and Spanish to all students on a regular basis. Computers are used in the classroom with emphasis on using the computer as a teaching aid. Classroom experiences are supplemented with a variety of field trips to such places as the Alliance Children's Theater, Zoo Atlanta, the State Capitol, Fernbank Science Museum, Etowah Indian Mounds, the Little White House, the King Center, and Callaway Gardens.

Middle School

Middle School is designed to be a transition between Elementary School and the college preparatory High School program. Curriculum objectives focus on building further essential academic and social skills, creating a spiritual self-awareness, providing for early exploration of personal and career interests, and developing increased personal responsibility. Middle Schoolis a time of expanding horizons. The basis of school experience is finding encouragement to grow beyond the classroom. Co-curricular enrichment is provided in a variety of areas-social, physical, intellectual, and religious.

HONOR CODE

Honor Above All.

The Honor Code represents the highest ideals of moral development, integrity, and achievement, as well as respect for the ideas, work and property of others. Second, the Honor Code represents the School's commitment to fostering integrity and to teaching and promoting honor and trust within our community.

It has been said, "The Honor System belongs to the students." One of the reasons the school administration has been so receptive to supporting the development of the Honor System is that it is an institution that is primarily encouraged and administered by the students. It empowers the students to determine the quality of their school. The Honor System has as its ideal that all students will be committed to honesty in all their academic and social endeavor.
